Project Description:

AKDN agencies have more than 6000 facilities and infrastructures in Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, and Tajikistan. The facilities include schools, hospitals, health centers, Jamatkhanas, offices, warehouses, residential units, etc. These infrastructures were located in high seismic-prone areas, thus there was an urgent need to assess the structural and non-structural safety of these facilities. The study was conducted based on a request to prioritize the most critical facilities that required additional structural and non-structural audits. The project was implemented in three partially overlapping phases.
