Project Description:
The objective of this study is to review the land use priorities, develop a land use plan and suggest findings based on the best practices, formulate zoning regulations and zoning plan based on the land use plan and the priorities provided by the previous consultant, perform a feasibility analysis for the proposed projects and develop an action plan(s). This study has provided guidance strategically aligned with AKDN’s Habitat Plan (HP). The HP provides a framework for a pan-regional rural and urban planning approach to the built environment created to address AKAH’s practices and needs. The project includes the alignment and use of the HP framework and expansion of the process and information thereof – wherein each step of the planning framework has been aligned with the outputs provided. The sharing of findings from this report has been informed to AKAH, the AKDN, and other relevant key stakeholders, including partners and donor agencies.
